This article examines the dynamics of family law in Islamic Republic Iran where there are upheavals and struggles between secular elites ulama from 1927 to present day. study applied a library research by digging up information related theme study. The results this indicate that is dominantly Shia Imamiyyah (Jafari) but it also accommodates Hanafi (Sunni) School field marriage law. Iranian has gone through many changes. Since 1928 issue divorce which was originally regulated Irans Qanun Madani came into force 1930, Marriage Law then enacted 1931. After three decades, 1967 reformation, replaced Family Protection act, with 1975. These laws combination French civil Jurisprudence, though they seem more secular. However, since Revolution 1979, these have been abolished all returned sharia As result, become repressive against women, except inheritance provides gender equality. While highly educated women Iran, 2006 filed for divorce. On other hand, practice mutah begun be abandoned polygamy opposed community.
